Mill Green School & College is guided by a clear vision and set of aims, one of which is equality.
We are committed to eliminating unlawful discrimination, harassment and victimisation, advancing equality of opportunity and fostering community cohesion between people within the local community.
We are determined to do everything we can to make sure that learners are treated fairly and that everyone has equal access to the services provided by the school.
We also believe that all learners should have equal access to the curriculum, this is addressed as follows:
- All learners will have access to the curriculum through the use of specialist equipment, resources, teaching and learning strategies and tasks. These are based on individual needs.
- Specific learning and teaching strategies are used to maximise access to the curriculum for learners with identified cohorts and those with barriers to learning.
- Teaching and Learning strategies, resources and planning aim to reflect our multi-cultural society.
- Gender Equality is promoted by ensuring that all learners have access to all aspects of the curriculum.
Please refer to our Equality, Diversity & Community Cohesion policy for further information.
